La Güera del Barrio

La Güera del Barrio is an organic Mexican-style lager brewed in Switzerland using rescued MASAMOR tortillas. By incorporating leftover nixtamal tortillas into the brewing process, this beer gives new life to an ingredient that would otherwise go to waste.


Brewed with organic barley malt, aromatic hops, water, yeast, and MASAMOR tortillas, the result is a light, well-balanced lager with a smooth body and a clean, refreshing finish. The project was created in collaboration with MASAMOR to help reduce food waste while celebrating Mexican-inspired brewing.
